Heavy Duty Circulation Cleaner

* Typical Applications

PAC 860 is a low foaming alkaline cleaner developed for circulation cleaning of pipelines, tanks and processing vessels by CIP methods. PAC 860 is particularly effective in removing grease, fat and protein soils from virtually any surface found in meat, poultry, egg and seafood processing establishments. PAC 860, when used as directed, is safe to use on all metal, plastic, glass and tile surfaces.

* Non-foaming

PAC 860 effectively cleans vats and pipelines without any worry of pump cavitation due to excessive foaming. It actually defoams food soils in solution.

* Inhibited

PAC 860, when used as directed, is safe to use on soft metals such as aluminum, brass or tin.

* Concentrated

PAC 860 is a white, granular free-flowing product containing alkaline builders, organic detergent and water conditioners.

* Use Directions

Rinse all pipelines, tanks and vessels to be cleaned with water to remove gross soils. Prepare cleaning solution using PAC 860 at a concentration of 1-3 oz./gallon in hot (140 degrees – 160 degrees F.) water. NOTE: Always dissolve highly alkaline products in cold water first, then heat solutions to desired temperature. Circulate solution for 15-30 minutes, depending on soil load. Rinse thoroughly with potable water. Consult your local LW Chemical representative for specific recommendations or temperatures, times and concentrations.

PAC 860 is authorized by the USDA for use under category code letter 2A:

Compounds for use only in soak tanks or with steam

or mechanical cleaning devices in all departments.

DANGER:

CAUSES SEVERE BURNS.

MAY BE FATAL IF SWALLOWED. HARMFUL IF INHALED.

Contains sodium hydroxide. Do not get in eyes, on skin, on clothing. Avoid breathing dust or mist. Keep container closed. Use with adequate ventilation. Wash thoroughly after handling.

PRECAUTION:

When handling, wear goggles or face shield and rubber gloves. While making solutions, add slowly to surface of solution to avoid violent spattering.

This product reacts with reducing sugars from food soils during cleaning to form hazardous carbon monoxide. Before entering enclosed or semi-enclosed areas, test and monitor for carbon monoxide. Exposure to carbon monoxide may be fatal.

FIRST AID: CALL A PHYSICIAN IMMEDIATELY.

In case of contact, immediately flush eyes or skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash clothing before reuse, discard contaminated shoes. If swallowed, dilute by drinking large quantities of water or milk. DO NOT induce vomiting. If inhaled, remove to fresh air; if not breathing, give artificial respiration, preferably mouth-to-mouth. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen.
