Foaming Silicated Alkaline Cleaner
* Purpose
LAC 243 is a concentrated liquid alkaline cleaner, developed specifically for use in removing grease, dirt, oil, fat, protein and other organic soils from soft metal and painted surfaces in meat and poultry processing operations, and other areas where effective cleaning and corrosion protection are required.
* Typical Applications
LAC 243 is recommended for use in meat packing plants (equipment, walls, floors, etc.), poultry plants (eviscerating troughs, blood tunnels and other equipment), and in seafood processing plants. All recommended use concentrations of LAC 243 are safe to use on aluminum, zinc, tin, brass, copper, steel, or stainless steel, as well as tile, brick, porcelain, and plastic surfaces.

* Properties
LAC 243 is a light yellow, moderately foaming liquid with a mild odor. It has a Specific Gravity of 1.3 (11.0 lbs./gallon). LAC 243 is a blend of alkaline builders, surfactants, water conditioners, and corrosion inhibitors. LAC 243 contains no phosphates or NTA.
* Use Directions
The exact amount of LAC 243 needed for a particular soil or application will vary. Typical use concentrations are in the range of 1-4oz./gallon of water, applied by manual spray, soak or foam methods.

Available in 55 gallon plastic drums and more economical bulk quantities.

LAC 243 is authorized by the USDA for use under category code letter A1:
Compounds for use as general cleaning agents on all surfaces, or for
use with steam or mechanical cleaning devices in all departments.

DANGER:
CAUSES EYE AND SKIN BURN. HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED.
Contains sodium metasilicate. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing when using this product. Wear eye protection such as side-shield safety glasses or goggles when making solutions. Avoid breathing dust or mists. Do not use for washing by hand.
In case of eye contact, flush eyes immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention immediately. For skin, flush with water. If irritation developes, get medical attention.
DO NOT TAKE INTERNALLY. If swallowed, drink large amounts of milk, water or milk of magnesia. DO NOT induce vomiting. Get immediate medical attention.
