AC 470

Self-Foaming Descaler and Brightener

* Purpose

AC 470 is an acidic descaler, developed for rapid removal and control of inorganic films, such as water hardness, that may be encountered on equipment and environmental surfaces.

* Typical Applications

AC 470 is recommended for foam cleaning applications in meat, poultry and seafood processing plants. Metal processing surfaces are effectively brightened and descaled with AC 470. All recommended use concentrations of AC 470 are safe on aluminum, zinc, tin, brass, copper, steel, or stainless steel surfaces, as well as tile, brick, porcelain, and painted surfaces

Self-Foaming – No need for messy mixing or additives.

* Properties

AC 470 is a clear, light brown liquid, blended with acid, organic detergents and rinse agents. AC 470 has a Specific Gravity of 1.21 (10.1 lbs./gallon).

* Use Directions

AC 470 may be used through most foam producing equipment, as well as manual, mop, brush applications. AC 470 is generally used at a concentration of 2-4 oz./gallon of warm water. Actual use concentrations will vary, depending on type and degree of scale. Contact your local LW Chemical representative for specific recommendations.

* Packaging

Available in 55 gallon plastic drums.

* Authorization

AC 470 is authorized by the USDA for use under category code letter A3: Acid cleaners for use in all departments.

DANGER:

CAUSES EYE DAMAGE, MAY CAUSE SKIN BURNS. MAY BE HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED.

Contains phosphoric acid. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Wash thoroughly after handling. Do not take internally.

PRECAUTION:

When handling concentrated product, wear side-shield safety glasses or splash protection.

FIRST AID:

In case of contact, immediately flush eyes or skin with cold water for at least 15 minutes. If swallowed, dilute by drinking large amounts of water or milk. DO NOT use carbonates or bicarbonates. For eyes, or if swallowed, call a physician immediately.

Remove contaminated clothing and launder before reuse. Discard contaminated shoes. If skin irritation persists, get medical attention.
